"If" (not when) we sin "we have an advocate with the Father": "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 1 John 2:1, 2 (emphasis added)

The law of God can save no man. It only reveals who we are (that we are not God, that we are not righteous in and of ourselves, individually nor collectively), that we need a savior to redeem us from God's (the Father's) wrath upon us for acting as thought we were God (righteous in and of ourselves, thinking and acting according to our flesh, i.e. 'justifying' ourselves before men according to our, and their, "human nature," i.e. according to the law of sin and death): "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." Romans 7:24, 25 (emphasis added) This is the "belief-action dichotomy" the world wants to negate by 'justifying' the flesh, "human nature," the law of sin, thereby negating the law of God, which condemns us, moving us to seek after Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who alone died on the cross, shed His blood for our sins, redeeming us from His Father's wrath upon us because of our sins, and rose from the grace to reconcile us to His Heavenly Father―righteousness can not be earned through the works of the law but must be imputed by God to men of faith in Him, so that no man can boast in what he has done).

Treating the Word of God as just another opinion amongst opinions (no longer Fearing God and loving His Word, no longer preaching and teaching God' Word "as given" but instead dialoguing men's opinions of it in the "light" of his own carnal nature, i.e. his earthly desires to please the flesh and eyes, taking polls, surveys, and using feasibility studies to 'justifying' himself, determining what is the right thing to do and what is the wrong according to "the approval of men"), in an effort to "grow the 'church'," is to 'justify' ourselves before men, to 'justify "human nature" (that which is of sin), and is willfully sinning. "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God [who did not negate the Law of God, which was given under Moses, but fulfilled it, giving us a new law, the law of faith*], and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?" Hebrews 10:26-29 (bracketed added)

Not that we should continue in sin, being saved by grace, but that we must walk and live daily according to the spirit and not according to our flesh, according to our Heavenly Father's will and not according to the "wisdom" of men, justifying our "human nature" (no longer thinking and acting according to the lust of the flesh, eyes, and the pride of life, thinking that we can control the world for the augmentation of pleasure and call it "good"), therefore dying daily to ourselves, mortifying our "human nature": "And he [Jesus Christ] said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself [put aside his carnal desires], and take up his cross [putting aside his desire for "the approval of men," accepting instead the denial of men because of his desire for "the approval of God"] daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. Luke 9:23-26 (bracketed added)

"This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Ephesians 4:11-24 (emphasis added)

"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them." Colossians 3:5-7

Because the "leadership of the church" has embraced man's "human nature," i.e. men's opinions, instead of the Word of God (thereby making the "church" apostate, i.e. a whore) it has 'justified' the leadership of the nation, who, like the "leadership of the 'church,'" are 'driven' by "human nature," 'purposed' in negating righteousness, 'justifying' abomination and the persecution of the saints. So we find ourselves today: the "church" as the harlot and the state as the beast (both putting into praxis, i.e. into social action, the dialectic process, through the dialoguing of opinions to a consensus, i.e. to a "feeling" of "oneness," using "human reasoning" to 'justify' the sensuousness, i.e. the pleasure and unity of man, negating the righteousness of God, as the issue of life).

As the "church" goes, the nation goes, the leadership simply reflecting the heart of the people. God is not "hung up" on this nation. He is "hung up" on you. Like what He did with Sodom and Gomorra (the ultimate example of socialist harmony, 'justifying' themselves, their "human nature," their carnal "ought's" and urges before men), He is looking at you, i.e. your heart (your thoughts and your actions*) to determine what to do with this nation. Is it worth saving?

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
